The Lagos Region of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has successfully energized a newly installed 60MVA, 132/33kV power transformer at the Ogba Transmission Substation in Lagos State. Executed by Technowell Global Concept Ltd, this strategic upgrade marks another milestone in TCN's ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria's transmission infrastructure and enhance electricity delivery nationwide.

With the completion and energization of this project, the substation's capacity has been increased from 265MVA to 325MVA, significantly boosting bulk power availability for the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (Ikeja DisCo). This enhancement will enable Ikeja DisCo to off-take and distribute more electricity to customers across Ogba, Agege, Ojodu, Abule Egba, Obawole, Fagba, Oba Akran, Mangoro, and adjoining communities.

The project forms part of the ongoing Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)-funded Service Level Agreement (SLA) interventions designed to reinforce the nation's power transmission backbone, minimise grid constraints, and ensure more stable power supply across the country.
